my boy makes me smile
this is a disjointed post, yet both sections fit under the title. bear with me.
the other night, matthew was watching a show on HGTV–prolly about flippin’ houses or divine design or some such thing. he was as into it as he is into bionicles or transformers.
i got shushed when i tried to ask him what was going on…and then, in the commercial break, he relayed all of what had happened prior to my entering the room. in full detail and accurately. this kid makes me laugh. i can’t WAIT till he starts actually applying all of what he’s learning at the moment.

this weekend, ungkl pol decided to teach matthew how to make coffee because matthew likes making my morning java. he used to bring me breakfast all the time, but things got moved around when we moved to spring lake, and he’s only just now gotten his groove back.
ingredients: (1) cup, (1) tablespoon instant coffee, water, microwave 1 minute. add cream. PRESTO! perfect cupa joe. he made me a cup saturday morning and sunday morning. got very serious with me yesterday by saying ‘i would have liked to make your coffee this morning.’ when i re-heated some from the coffee pot. oh.
well, m’boy. go right on ahead. coffee made with love always tastes a little bit sweeter.
