what is it worth to you?
i think people can sell the most common things if you dress it up and use big words…marketed properly, you’d be amazed.
take this menu item for example: A tomato and asparagus chutney over julienned boeuf sauteed in a light cilantro beurre blanc and served on a bed of stone ground baked maize platte.
in the right atmosphere, you’d be looking at plunking down somewhere between $18-$20 for beef tacos. see what i mean?
it happens all the time in the cosmetic aisle–these millions of dollars of creams (cremes) marketed, promising women they will stop aging, reverse time and give you your mother’s broach that you lost when you were seven. and yet, few meet any of their promises…the only one that means anything or delivers on its claim is a sunblock.
the newest, best, tastiest descriptions of a common item, and we’ll often swallow it whole (there’s a pun in there somewhere)…
my point? sometimes the brain rattling between the ears needs to engage.
1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
simply put: Be on your guard, or you could wind up forking over more than a few bucks for an overpriced taco.
